Julia was born and raised in Dallas, TX. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and her Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin. It was during these years that Julia grew a heart for walking alongside others through some of life's harder circumstances. Julia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works primarily with children, adolescents, and their families.
During her undergraduate studies, Julia got the opportunity to mentor high school and college aged girls through Young Life as well as work with families both locally and internationally. These experiences led her to complete graduate school, where she continued learning about working to empower others. Julia has experience working in different settings, including legal clinics, schools, and foster care agencies. Julia's clinical experience includes working with children and adolescents, focusing on anxiety, depression, grief, behavioral concerns, broken familial relationships, trauma, and other mental health issues, as well as with adults surrounding their children's stressors and their own well-being. Julia is also certified in Parent Child Interaction Therapy.
Julia has a heart for working with children and adolescents as they find a more abundant life and believes that this is best done in relationship with one another, meeting someone where they are and walking together from there. In her free time, Julia enjoys being outside with her family and friends. She loves drinking coffee, going for walks, and dreaming about the next travel adventure with her husband.
