Though a native of Florida, Josh’s upbringing in a military family allowed him to experience life in various states across the U.S. He eventually made his way to Oklahoma, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oklahoma State University. Driven by a commitment to lifelong learning, Josh furthered his education by obtaining master’s degrees in both theology and clinical mental health counseling. He is a Nationally Certified Counselor and holds the credential of Associate Sex Addiction Therapist helping individuals and their partners heal from sexual betrayal and issues with pornography. Additionally, Josh is a certified Prepare Enrich premarital and marital counselor.
Skilled in working with individual adults and couples, Josh has experience supporting those facing challenges such as depression, grief, anxiety, addiction, developmental and life adjustment issues, as well as concerns related to self-worth and identity. Josh firmly believes in the inherent strength and capacity for healing within each individual seeking counseling. He is passionate about partnering with clients to help them uncover and cultivate their own ability to navigate and overcome their difficulties. Recognizing the therapeutic relationship as central to effective counseling, Josh is committed to providing a nonjudgmental and secure environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their concerns openly.
Outside of his professional life, Josh values time spent with friends and family. He enjoys outdoor adventures, particularly camping, hiking, and whitewater rafting in the mountains. His love for travel has taken him to eight countries across three continents, and he also enjoys reading, good music, great movies, and any opportunity for continued learning.
