Ellen was born and raised in Dallas, TX. While earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at Texas A&M, Ellen worked with children and families through various ministry opportunities, which led her to Dallas Theological Seminary to complete her Master of Biblical Counseling degree. While in graduate school, Ellen worked at a private therapy practice and a local private Christian school counseling children, adolescents, and adults. Upon graduation, Ellen continued to develop her skills with children and adolescents in both a private practice and at an eating disorder treatment facility, where she led groups and worked with individuals on a variety of skills, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Family Systems. She is currently pursing her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) designation. Her areas of clinical work include working with anxiety, depression, perfectionism, eating disorders and disordered eating, emotional regulation, behavior concerns, play therapy, and parenting education.
As someone who was born and raised in the Park Cities, Ellen is passionate about serving children and families from high-performance backgrounds through the lens of counseling, and equipping them with the necessary tools they need to heal and grow. She enjoys coming alongside of parents in order to help them create a healthy environment and relationship where their kids can thrive.
When she is not seeing clients, Ellen can be found drinking lot’s of coffee, traveling, or spending time with her family and friends.
