Dr. Cristina Sevadjian

PhD, Licensed Psychologist, Partner of Sparrow House Counseling

Dr. Sevadjian graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas A&M University, a master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Baptist University, and her doctorate from the APA accredited school psychology program through Texas Woman’s University. Dr. Sevadjian completed her APA accredited clinical internship through The Texas Child Study Center, a collaboration of the University of Texas at Austin and Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas. She then completed her postdoctoral residency in school neuropsychological assessment with Dr. Susan Hill and furthered her therapy intervention experience at Sparrow House Counseling. She is a licensed psychologist, marriage and family therapist supervisor, licensed professional counselor supervisor, and a licensed specialist in school psychology.

Professionally, Dr. Sevadjian has worked in the field of psychology for over fifteen years and has had a variety of experience serving individuals in the following settings: home-based treatment with the juvenile probation department, Green Oaks Psychiatric Hospital, local children’s hospitals, public school districts, and private practice. This variety of work and training experiences has enriched the knowledge of and types of treatment that Dr. Sevadjian provides to children, adolescents, and families. Her areas of interest include working with children and adolescents with: chronic medical conditions, disruptive behaviors, anxiety, depression, ADHD, accidental trauma, grief, and adjustment to difficult life situations. Her work with adults includes: parenting, anxiety, mood disorders. Further, she has completed advanced training seminars through the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Philadelphia. Additionally, Dr. Sevadjian provides assessment services for learning disability identification, attention issues, and school neuropsychological evaluations. She also enjoys speaking in the community on an array of topics related to children, adolescents, and parenting.

Personally, Dr. Sevadjian loves to spend time with her family, friends, and especially her husband, Greg and their children Mia, Margot, and William. She is involved at her church and serves on the board of Promise House, a local nonprofit serving homeless and parenting teens. She also enjoys pilates, yoga, tennis, playing with their German Shepherd (Fritz), and being outside in the sun!
