Maisie was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and has felt drawn to helping others for as long as she can remember. She discovered her love for counseling in high school, which led her to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma and later her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Methodist University. Each step along the way strengthened her desire to walk alongside children and adolescents as they navigate life’s challenges.
Serving her community has always been an important part of Maisie’s life. During her time at OU, she mentored high school girls through Young Life, which deepened her heart for supporting younger generations. That passion eventually led her to co-create and co-own a nonprofit focused on encouraging and guiding young people in their personal and faith journeys. While completing her graduate program, Maisie gained hands-on experience in both a nonprofit school counseling center, and a low-income treatment center, where she provided play therapy, adolescent activity therapy, individual and group counseling, and parent consultations. She has worked with children and pre-teens facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, anger, post-divorce transitions, and suicidal thoughts.
Maisie is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space where children and adolescents can be themselves, and find room to grow, heal, and feel truly understood. She strives to meet every client with warmth, patience, and genuine care. Outside of work, Maisie loves spending time with her family and friends and staying active, usually through Pilates, pickleball, daily walks or her adventures in travel.
