Ellie was born and raised in Dallas,Texas. After graduating from Highland Park High School, she completed her Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin. Ellie moved back to Dallas to be close to her family and obtained her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of North Texas Dallas. Her desire to become a therapist began during her own experience in counseling as an adolescent. Through her personal experience with counseling she realized her passion for helping others learn the power of their choices and their ability to evolve into becoming their best selves.
During her undergraduate studies, Ellie worked with children on the Autism spectrum as an Behavioral Therapist where she was inspired to care for families through building authentic relationships. During her time in graduate school, Ellie became interested in child development and pursued courses in play therapy. Ellie gained her clinical experience working with individuals and families at a non profit organization and community center in West Dallas where she provided therapeutic services for clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and other behavioral issues. Ellie has a heart for working with children and teens as they are learning who they want to become.
In her spare time, Ellie enjoys being outside, typically on a walk listening to a podcast or phoning a friend. Ellie also enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband and bernedoodle, Millie.
