Dr. Ashley D’Souza graduated with a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and earned her Specialist in School Psychology degree from Texas State University. She later received her doctorate in school psychology from the APA-accredited program at Texas A&M University. Dr. D’Souza completed an externship at Sparrow House Counseling before beginning her doctoral internship with the Avondale Elementary School District in Arizona. During her internship, she provided psychological assessment, counseling, behavioral consultation, crisis support, and social-emotional interventions for children and adolescents.

Professionally, Dr. D’Souza has worked with children, adolescents, and families across a variety of settings, including university clinics, public schools, private practice, and telebehavioral counseling and assessment services in rural Texas. Her experience includes comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations addressing concerns such as ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioral difficulties. She is especially interested in providing culturally responsive services to children and families from diverse backgrounds. Her therapeutic interests include anxiety, emotional regulation, adjustment to life changes, parenting concerns, and supporting children and adolescents as they navigate academic, social, and emotional challenges.

Dr. D’Souza approaches her work collaboratively and strives to help families better understand their child’s individual strengths and needs. She values providing practical recommendations that families and schools can use to support meaningful growth.

Personally, Dr. D'Souza enjoys spending time with her husband, Rohan, their son, Aiden, and their pup, Milly. She also enjoys traveling, playing basketball, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on the Dallas Mavericks.
